Math with Roberto Partida
This school year we got to do some interesting projects in our Math class such as our last project about different Loans. The class was divided into multiple groups to research about different type of loans for Credit Cards, Car Loans, Student Loans, and House Loans. I got the opportunity to research about Student Loans and got a better understanding about how to handle and choose what type of payment plans are more convenient for students. To prove what I have learned, I created a brochure with the help of my group members informing others about the different plans that exist. It also explains the differences between Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans along with a graph to explain the differences. The brochure was used for our exhibition where we created our class into a bank and essentially imitated the process of a real bank.
More Than A Number
Another project we had to do in this class was to create a video about a certain math topic that would be useful to others. My partner and I got to do a video about how to solve word problems. After we were finished with our video, we uploaded it onto a website that was created to post all of our videos and explanations of other math topics. The page was designed to help out high schoolers, but specifically to the Juniors. The webpage contains various math topics that are covered by our classmates and tips for the SAT.
