The area that I work in is located next to the Benbough Amphitheater (where the bird show is held at). Right next to this is a little pathway that leads me to the office I work in. On my way there I encounter several animals that aren't quite ready to be with the public. Such as, striped hyenas, Bat-eared fox, honey badger, owls, and other beautiful birds that are used for the bird show. I usually arrive earlier then my mentor so I just hang out with the animal trainers or go for a walk around the zoo. Once my mentor arrives, she assigns me tasks to do mostly just organizing files or researching facts about the animals in the area. In this office I'm working in, I face this window where the computer is located at and the printer is on the left side along with other equipment that the trainers use but will eventually be moved. Its a really small place and it gets really crowded, whether the trainers are putting some of the animals inside or they're fixing the meals for them. The kitchen is just right next to the door, but the first thing you see when you're walking through the door would be the trainers schedules and where their meetings are held every morning. So far I really like this internship and I also like shadowing the trainers. (:
